Falcons Soar Over Pride in 3-1 Victory

The Concordia University of Wisconsin Falcons clinched a hard-fought victory over the Purdue University Northwest Pride on Saturday, February 20th, at the Kube Sports Complex in Indiana. Despite the Pride’s aggressive play and a nearly equal number of shots on goal, the Falcons managed to secure a 3-1 win.

Both teams demonstrated strong defense, with the Falcons taking 38 shots and the Pride close behind with 37. However, it was the Falcons’ offensive prowess that ultimately made the difference. Dominic Murano, a standout player for the Falcons, netted two of the three goals, proving to be a decisive factor in the game.

On the other hand, the Pride’s lone goal came from Brayden Mitchell, but it was not enough to tilt the game in their favor. Both teams struggled with their power plays, the Falcons going 0/4 and the Pride slightly worse at 0/6.

In the net, the Falcons’ goalie, Austin Bartell, put on an impressive performance, saving 36 out of 37 shots. His counterpart, the Pride’s Luka Krstulovich, also had a commendable game, saving 35 out of 38 shots.

This victory marks another successful outing for the Falcons as they continue to build momentum this season. They will look to carry this momentum into their next game against Schoolcraft College on Saturday, February 21, again at the Kube Sports Complex. Fans are eagerly anticipating another thrilling performance from the team.
