The Hanna Havoc put up a valiant effort against the Calgary Bandits on Sunday night at the Hanna Agri-Sports Complex, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory. Despite outshooting the Bandits 40-33, the Havoc fell short with a final score of 5-2 in favor of the Bandits.
Havoc’s goalie, Madden Besplug, faced a barrage of shots from the Bandits, making 28 saves on 33 attempts. Unfortunately, the Bandits’ goalie, Drareg Galang, had an impressive night, stopping 38 of the 40 shots he faced, proving to be a significant obstacle for the Havoc.
The Havoc had a couple of opportunities on the powerplay but were unable to capitalize, finishing the game 0/2. The Bandits, however, didn’t have any powerplay opportunities during the game.
Havoc’s #11, Demetry Inglis, managed to find the back of the net for one of the two Havoc goals. On the Bandits side, #22 Nicholas Rollinmud contributed significantly with two assists.
Despite the loss, the Havoc showed grit and determination, promising a better outcome in their next matchup. They will be on the road for their next game, facing off against Southern Alberta on Sunday, March 15, at 5:00 pm at the Stavely Arena. The Havoc will be looking to bounce back and secure a win in their upcoming game.
