Flyers Fall to Huskies in Hard-Fought Match

The Lewis University Flyers faced a tough loss against the Northern Illinois University Huskies last night at the Fox Valley Ice Arena, with a final score of 2-5. Despite the Flyers’ aggressive game strategy, the Huskies managed to maintain their lead throughout the match.

The Flyers launched an impressive 36 shots, only slightly less than the Huskies’ 38. However, the Huskies’ goaltender, Andrew Finneman, put on a stellar performance, saving 34 shots. On the other hand, the Flyers’ goalie, Thomas Labno, managed to save 33 shots.

The Flyers struggled with their powerplay, failing to capitalize on any of their eight opportunities. The Huskies, despite having only four powerplay chances, also didn’t manage to score a powerplay goal.

The Flyers’ only goal came from Alexander Fronte, while the Huskies’ Conner Souza managed to find the back of the net twice, contributing significantly to their victory.

The Flyers will look to bounce back from this defeat in their next game, a home match against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The game is set to take place on Friday, Sep 25, at 7:00 pm CDT at the Kern Center. The Flyers will undoubtedly be looking for redemption and a chance to showcase their skills on home ice.
