Purdue University Northwest Pride Roars to 6-1 Victory Over Aurora University Spartans

The Purdue University Northwest Pride hockey team put on a remarkable performance on Saturday, January 16th, 2026, dominating the Aurora University Spartans with a 6-1 final score at the Kube Sports Complex in Indiana.

The Pride outshot the Spartans by a wide margin, taking a total of 56 shots compared to the Spartans’ 27. Despite this clear offensive advantage, neither team was successful in powerplay opportunities, with the Pride going 0/2 and the Spartans 0/4.

Pride’s goalie, John Hughes, had an exceptional night, facing 27 shots and making 26 saves. On the other hand, Spartans’ Skyler Coard had a challenging time in the crease, with 56 shots coming his way and managing to save 50.

The star of the night was undoubtedly Collin Kozijn of the Pride, who netted an impressive four goals. The lone goal for the Spartans was scored by Liam Charlebois.
